One problem I've encontered with Everest is that there is quite a few new hardware that it will not be able to identify. All the free copies you find around the net are archive copies from 2005 since they discontinued their freeware version.

I'd have never said this back in 05, but with today's hardware, I would rather run Sandra then Everest.

Ahh...good point! It's been a while since I've needed to use this type of software.

PC Wizard is what I use. It's up to date, and includes any and all info you could ever need.
It also has a couple of benchmarks that have proved useful..
