    Question HDD

My computer just crashed and I didn't ghost my drive nor made a back up. I want to know if any one in here know if you can you take that hard drive where window crashed on and put it as an external drive and try to make a ghost or back up from another computer to keep the settings and use it when you re-install windows on another hdd? This is a wild question, but i thought i just ask. If any one can help please, I'd appreciate it.

If the drive is physically damaged, you probably won’t be able to access it at all.

If Windows went bad, you should be able to copy important files off if it. You’ll need the following for gaining access to My Docs folder etc..
