| Over the air HDTV Antenna Suggestions
Anyone have a suggestion on a good indoor HDTV antenna? My local CBS affiliate and our cable company have been feuding over terms to deliver HD content. I am only 9 miles from the transmitter, but can't seem to pick up the signal.

If you unplug the cable box and plug the HDTV capable TV into the cable jack from the wall, you should have those local HDTV channels. Have to surf for them. If that works, then all you would need is a cable switch for selecting the source. The HD content should be there riding on the cable line. kinda like plunging a TV into a cable jack and just getting BASIC. |

Let me clarify. My local CBS affiliate does not broadcast their HD signal to my cable provider. The only way to get their HD broadcast is over the air. I have an antenna on my TV and can pick up several, though not all, HD broadcasts in my area. I want a good indoor antenna that will help my TV receive the broadcast. |

I can pick up HD channels off the air with our old broadcast antenna on the roof, but that thing's huge, 6-8 feet long. Sometimes your cable can act as an antenna, so if you plug it in and tell your tv to go to broadcast it may pick up the channels. |
