So called 'desk-top replcement' laptops come with three-spindle design and TFT Active-Matrix XGA rez screens. They are heavy suckers (7-8 lbs) and are not meant for a jaunt to Starbucks.
Question: Do the lappy screens rival the entry to mid-range LCD monitors for quality, brightness, and rez ?
The reason I ak it that if I'm going to front for a LCD one day, and could use a laptop for traveling to other cities--not to the corner coffee shop--so I need a three spindle machine anyhows.
When you travel with a one-spindle lappy, you have to carry the peripherals (drives) any way so where is the advantage?
So why not get a big-screen lappy instead and get both an LCD and a computer that travels ?
Has anybody ever seen a laptop that has a VGA IN so that a Desktop Computer could be used to view though the lappy screen ?
ThanX,
