need to bypass the windows login password

bought computer from a guy..
when i turned the computer on it has a password.... how do i get passed the pass.
.... someone said something about f8 key

why not just do a clean install?? If ya bought it like that, who knows when the last time was that thing has seen a clean install.

I'd do a clean install.

I recently used EBCD (emergency boot CD):

This utility cannot discover the password but was successful in resetting it.

I was unsuccessful using this utility:
http://home.eunet.no/~pnordahl/ntpasswd

It could not locate the XP partition.
