Word 97 - Word 2003

I am stumped and so is my boss.

We have a client that is using word 97 on an older computer. He wants to move them to a new Dell computer, well we got the files to open in word 97 and moved all to new system.

We can edit the text in the documents and everything, but when there's a table inside the document we can not edit it. If we try to a message comes up saying that the server /source files could not be found. We can delete the table and make a new one, but we can't edit the existing one.

What can be done about this problem?

well, if it's just 1 file that has the problem, I'd say write down what is in the table and delete the old one and create a new one.

That will save you a lotta time, will ensure compatibility with newer Word versions and si9nce time is money in a company.......
