If you want a notebook mouse, I HIGHLEY suggest the one you linked above but with LASER instead of optical. It really does make a difference and the laser one can be picked up for $30 here locally.
EDIT: Here is the laser one in silver. The black one is a couple bucks more. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16826105046

I LOVE wireless mice and keyboards; I have 2 combos:
1. Logitech LX710 - nice heavy mouse for wireless, a tad small for my hands. Sweet keyboard with a functional, not cheap wrist rest.
2. Microsoft Desktop 3000 - mouse is bigger, but lighter; has annoying "magnify" button I hit without trying. Absolutely AWESOME friggn' keyboard. Nice feel on the keys and it's "somewhat" a curve design, but not a full split curve.
Would easily buy either combo again! |

Well I got my mouse yesterday. I like it and then I don't. I didn't think it was going to be this small. Little small for my hands. I like ot have a good grip on my mouse. Scroll wheel is too smooth. I like the ones where you can feel it clicking as it rolls.
It'll take some time getting used to it but I will.
I ended up getting the MS Optical wireless mouse 4000 |

Well by far this mouse totally sucks to the mack! Now it won't function at all! I have gone through every single trouble shooting method in the last few hours and no go. New batteries and everything. Mouse will not be reconized at all now. and the stick that goes in the usb port that stick won't even light up. only way to get it to light up is to hold the connect button continuously and then it still won't stay lit.
Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr........ |

Just call up MS, they'll probably just send you out a new one (they used to not even have you send your current one back, though that may have changed).

yeah, i can do that but its a major inconvience for me. Can't photoshop very well with a touch pad. so probably will call to get my replacement but also go and get another one something different.
I am jsut tired of my run with sucky mouses. Think i am gonna go back to logitech and spend a little more cash on it. |

Well I just went down and picked me up a new mouse at best buy. Its a logitech V450 Laser Cordless.
Upon installing it I immediately noticed a differene in laser versas opitcal. Just after a few mintues I am already likeing this mouse.
I'll get a replacement for the other one and sell it, maybe they will give me a refund??? probably not.
Edit: Wow, i got my old type of scrolly that I like, one you can feel it scrolling instead of the smooth feel-less scroll. Nice bounus! for a 10 minute shopping trip. |

If you are using this for a notebook, I would reccomend the Logitech VX Nano.
The receiver alone is reason enough to buy it. Because of its size, you will never have to remove it from your notebook. I have used it for a couple months now: battery hasnt died once yet. |

Choices were pretty limited at best buy here. I like the bigger mouses though. I like to feel that something is in my hand. So far I really like this. This is also my first lazer one too and I really like it so far. Its quick, sharp and nice. This one said it was also for notebooks.
Another bonus i have found with the mouse is that im usually on my couch/recliner and I don't have a desk so my mouse when typing would slide off my binder. This one stays put even at a angle. Nice. So that is going to be a big plus for me!
The install was nice too. It also did somethign to prevent it from clashing iwth the touchpad. So that was a nice feature too. The others did not do that. So far I am pretty happy with my impulse buy. lol |

I have 2.0 wireless mouse and keyboard. The keyboard works great but the mouse is always weak. Is there anything I can do to improve the signal? Tried all the normal things. Is it worth to download new drivers?I now that these setups are not real expensive but I would like to use in different room.Heck my logitech works better than this 2.0 and it costs twice as much. This is a microsoft product. Thanks |
