| Wireless mouse recommendations
Hello everyone.
I currently got this cheap wireless mouse several months ago and I HATE the dang thing. It looses its "connection" often and I got to switch the usb thingy all the time. It seems to "reset' when i do it. but heres the thing, it seems rather loose in the usb port connection.
So I am in the market for a new wireless mouse and wonder if anyones got any recommendations for me. I plan to purchase through newegg. I'd like one that the wireless connection in the usb port would fit much tigher, tight like a usb flash drive.
I don't care much for brands as I get used to them easy but need a scroll wheel.
Thanks. |

I would recommend you look at Microsoft mouses (they seem to have great hardware and great drivers). Stay far away from logitech unless you like dealing with super buggy drivers and a lot of headaches.
I bought the MX Revolution a while ago and regret it. Looks nice and feels nice but it does not work for what I need with the default drivers and the old drivers that came with it are buggy and the newest drivers don't even recognize the thing!

Really Ex?
I have two MX Revolutions and a VX Revolution and love them all and have had no problems. I was actually going to suggest those mice depending on the type of usage.

That's a cool one. Never seen one that holds the receiver in it. Good idea if your mouse sits for extended periods without any use. |

So that is just a bonus. seems they say its has a longer battery life too. |

I still like the logitech mice that I have
The MX Revolution is a little larger but has a docking station that charges the batteries. I also love the second scroll wheel. I have it set to flip between open files when in Photoshop. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16826104015
The VX Revolution is smaller (made as a travel version of the MX Revolution). It does not have rechargeable batteries but they last quite a while. The USB receiver fits into the mouse when not being used. It does not have a second scroll wheel but it does have a zoom slider which is nice. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16826104016
As for the drivers: I have not had any issues and actually find it quite easy to customize all of the buttons depending on the program you are using.
Oh, also the scroll wheel has a free-spinning mode. The VX Revolution you have to manually switch it from click to free spinning and the MX automatically switches based on program and usage. It's pretty nice. |

I rather like logitech myself. More buttons and more customization. You can use a generic driver as well.
