IMO, no that's not worth it. Quick break down on prices. (our prices of course)

E6850 - $180
780i board - $230
Case - $200 (overpriced IMO)
9800GX2 - $450
RAM - $60
HDD- $100 x 2
Sound Card - $100 (probably cheaper really)
Card reader - $10
Burner - $30
Vista - $150 (can get cheaper versions)
KB and Mouse - $100 - $120

Now these are all off the top of my head, but my math there comes too ~$1730..

You cant compare US rates to Norway rates. PC parts may cost a lot more in Norway.
Also it is already pre-built. And looks like it has a warranty.

Karma looks like hes rounding down, and didnt include a PSU. I will try to link you to the parts.
Case 260$
PSU 200$
CPU 185$
Ram 90$
GPU 600$
HD 90$x2 = 180$
X-fi Sound 200$
Card Reader 35$
Optical Drive 23$
OS 170$
Mouse 23$
Keyboard 40$
Motherboard?!?!

Total ~ 2,006$ + motherboard
Dell charges about 300$ for a 3 year warranty/parts/service/etc. I cant read the text, but I see a 3.
And then you have to add a fee for putting the PC together. ~150$ (rough guess)

Conclusion: about 2500$
Remember that I chose newegg prices, which are about as good as they get.
When you factor in all variables, I would guess that it isnt a bad price when your purchasing it from Norway.

I put together a similiar build at Dell and it came to ~$3,300

Well, yes, Norway is a very expensive country...

But will this PC be able to play games like Crysis on full graphical settings, do you think?

Depending on which graphical settings (AA) are turned up and which resolution: No.
It can play on Very High Settings.
But once you turn up the AA, NO GPU can handle it.

You should price a Dell XPS 630 if you can. You can upgrade the video card and hard disk to match this package.

I've heard that if I buy just the parts I can get a better PC than these pre-built ones. I don't know how to build a PC myself but is it common that people from a electronics shop can build a PC? But maybe then I won't get customer support, warranty and such stuff.

And that pretty much summarizes the conundrum of retail versus BIY.

I think my point here is that $3500 is ridiculous. What I have here includes blu-ray, 4gb ddr3, a raptor, and two 640gbs, and the q9300 45nm quad core, and even a physics card for good measure (crysis on very high ). I didn't do water cooling for simplicity though I did include a nice zalman fan, and no sound card because I don't see much use for one.

Edit: Now if only I had $2300

All I know is that I can't build a Dell XPS 630 for the price that Dell charges. They include a licensed copy of Windows too.
