I've received an Acer Aspire 5610 notebook from a client. The DVD/RW drive is not working, I want to remove the drive but have no manual on the process. Could you please advise me, as to where I might find schematcs or a manual for this notebook.

There are normally just 2 screws holding in an optical drive. Flip the laptop over and look at the bottom where the drive is. You can remove any screw that is just beneath it. Slide the drive out and note which scews are really holding it in. Replace all but the two that actually hold the drive in.
