Hey guys, I ordered a pair of Astro A40s on Saturday and as you may know, UPS doesn't ship on weekends. I was notified today by Astro that my order would be picked up and shipped this afternoon but I have not received a tracking number so I guess I will have to estimate when it will arrive with the help of NBR, =)
They're headquarters is located in
San Francisco, CA 94103
This is where all the headsets are shipped/picked up from.
My location is in Elk Grove, CA 95758
The order was purchased via UPS ground. What is the most common scenario for UPS ground considering we are in the same state and are separated only a couple hours from each other.
Is this passage true? ground shipping via anything within the state of california is same day. either
1. the item was backordered and they are being too lazy or otherwise unproffessional to send a notice email
2. it's been lost in transit
3. it got buried on the outbound table and they haven't figured it out yet |

UPS does not do anything same day unless you pay for it (starting at $150 for a letter, so I doubt you paid for it). UPS usually is able to deliver ground packages to a destination within the same state by the next operating day. Note that UPS Ground Residential delivers on Saturday and not Monday while UPS Ground Commercial is the opposite. There are exceptions to the next day rule, especially in large states or rural areas.

I would guess that the earliest you will get your package is Wednesday with standard UPS ground shipping, Friday at the latest. Generally, expect 3 to 4 days for UPS ground shipping for packages within California.

UPS does not deliver any ground items on Saturday except on some occasions close to Christmas (like when Christmas day is on a Monday). FedEx delivers items shipped on their FedEx Home rates on Sat but not Mon.
. I live in upstate NY and when the Egg ships out of their NJ warehouse, I get it the next day. And I agree you'll pay handsomely go get anything shipped same day.

Ive ordered from a bunch reputable sites, and they've taken up to a week to just get the package to the carrier.
Seems your being a little impatient. |

.bh. | Did I confuse the two? Now that I think about it, you must be right since UPS does all the residential and commercial on the same truck while FedEx has (or at least had when I worked in the shipping business) separate Home Delivery and Ground trucks.

I ordered the Astro A40 headsets from astrogaming.com. They guarantee to process orders within 24 hours and based on reviews, they stay true to that statement. I just used the "UPS Calculate Time and Cost" tool on their site and it says it should be here by the end of today considering the package is 10 pounds.
Here's to hoping, =) |

They guaranteed that if an item was shipped out on the 27th, Friday, it would be at my house on Monday even if it was ground shipping because of the fact that I lived about 2 hours away from the shipper. I got my tracking number yesterday and the "estimated" delivery is on Wednesday, the 2nd of July...<.<...
Thanks UPS. Does anybody know if that date can change? |

I have gotten stuff early, but the problem may be they did not actually ship on Friday,
sometimes they just send shipping info, than ups will assume it will be shipped on Monday,

My order is now in West Sacramento, about 30 minutes out from me. Is there a good chance they will drop it off early or will they be mean and hold it for the rest of the "3 days guaranteed''. |
