Hi again.
First thing that sticks out. DON'T GET A ROSEWILL PSU! They are horrible horrible power supplies. This is the heart of your new PC we're talking about here. This is the one part you never want to skimp on. Power Supply Info
Might look through that, and see if that clears some things up. JP is the man when it comes to PSU's.
Next thing, If you plan on shielding all of your wires, then I highly recommend getting a Molex Pin Remover. I tried shielding my cables once, without one of these. And all I can say is you better have A LOT of patience, and very steady hands. These make the job 2x easier/faster. (But if you get a different PSU, you may not need to do this. Unless you want that color)
Also, you linked to a 9600GT, not a 8800GT.
And if you've been following the PC News lately, you've seen or heard about the 4850. If you haven't, that is the card to get. It's $194 ($176 after MIR), and it's THE BEST bang for buck right now. Also, if you want to go Nvidia, then they've dropped their prices on the 9800GTX to $199 ($179 after MIR), to compete with the ATI card. BUT, the ATI card is still faster, and uses less power. Might check into those though.
My last thought, is the RAM. That's cheap, which is always good of course. But for $84 you can get 4gigs of DDR2-1000 G.Skills. Which are Great OC'ers too..
I'm done now.. |

KK hit it right on the head with everything he pointed out! Good power supply manufacturer's are FSP,Silverstone,Pc power and cooling, Ocz, Corsair. I also agree 100% on the video cards

KarmaKiller thanks alot for taking the time to look through my list. I will do some more research on psu's. Could you recommend a couple PSU's? I agree the Pin remover is definetly a good idea. I have only owned nvidia but really have no objections to ATI. And if you say G skills is better RAM i trust you.
I am asking all these questions because you guys are so up on computer components. I do not follow so closely and need help from the pro's.
Thanks Again...

I'm not saying G.SKill is a better manufacture then OCZ. It's just that specific RAM I linked to just runs faster.
OCZ makes good stuff
EDIT: I'm running G.Skills also.

Absolutely. That's one of the best PSU's you can get. PERIOD!
You could do with the Corsair 650w for a bit cheaper though to. |
