Yeah I went with the ASUS because it comes with OC and fan control utilities, sounds like an added plus. Also, I trust ASUS a little more than some of the other brands I've never heard of.
So I added a newegg warranty on the graphics card and the CPU. Was that worth it, or do they come with their own warranties? I just read that all CPU's have a 3 year warranty so that got me wondering... |

Most all hardware comes with a manufactures warranty. They all vary, so hit up their websites and see what they are. But most of the time, your covered for at least the first year, if not longer..
As far as the GPU goes, I'm a fan of Sapphire cards, they have a 2 year warranty. |

Make sure you get an SATA dvd burner, not IDE.

If you're going to spend that much on the CPU, you're better off with the newer, Q9300 IMO.
