    Problem with Power Director 7

Please help me, i have a very annyoing problem with the software "Power Director 7", everything else works fine but when i edit clips and whant to
change the speed of a clip to slow motion / faster it lets me do it but
when i have finnished editing and save my project it does not stay slow/fast for next time!

For instanse, i have just finnished editing a clip that is 3 minutes long and have made it 6 minutes long with slow motion using the "speed" control, it works fine and i save my project. I come back after a while and open my project and i find the clip i edited to slow motion is still 6 minutes long but its not slowmotion! It plays in at normal speed untill the last bit of the clip is just black because it was sopposed to be slowmotion and if it was the whole 6 minutes of the clip would have been used.
So basically the speed changes i do to clips do not stay changed after i save and open my project again!

What should i do, i would really appreciate help !!!

Angry Yes - I am experencing the same...

I bought the PD7-Ultra upgrade cause i the express version came with my jvd camcorder. I am editing/making my wedding video and in addtion to it NOT saving the speed, it also randomly does not save TRIMMING I have done. Some clips save fine and others don't when I reopen my project. It is truly odd.

Also, after setting the speed on multipule video clips, sometimes it will loose the music track. The music track is there and the volume level of the music track is high, but when playing the movie no sound is heard (and it is not muted). But if I exit PowerDirector and come back in it's fine - but then I lost all the speed.

I'm really pissed cause I have spent like 8 hours editing only to find out that it did not save the speed. This sucks becuase everything is related to the speed of the video. HOW IN THE WORLD this got OUT OF BETA is beyond me!

    HELP PLEASE!!!

    power director 7 problems

have you asked cyberlink for an answer? I hope you got a better answer than the one they gave me.

They told me that they could not help with my problem, V6, will not save. the only advice given was to upgrade to V7. which I have just done, however had I done my research first, I would have dumped this program.

get your act together cyberlink and look after your customers.

    Same speed problem

    HELP!

I have a deadline in 4 days, and have the same problem.
Saved an AWESOME video, with trims and slowdowns, but when I got back to it, the speed settings were gone, and the end of the video replaced with blank spaces.

Also bad is the fact that if you try split a video, it will do it, but after you save and restart, the video plays from the beginning twice!

Anyone found a way to get that to work?

    Just a thought, I'm using Vista 64bit.
What OS are you other chaps with problems using?

    Another Problem

Just started using Power Director 7. I'm having problems with still images and the magic motion feature. When you add motion to a still picture it's cutting off half the picture. For example if the subject is a person, the motion zooms in so half the person is cut off...then it moves in the motion you select. How can you add motion, but use the entire image?? Any thoughts??

Here is something you can do about the problem. This is what I do and it works.
Every time I make a video with time effects, I make one part and WITHOUT SAVING IT, I produce a short chapter right away. I save it on a desktop and start a new project. In a new project I insert the saved (produced) part in the video edit mode. It's so hard to explain sometimes, but I hope I helped a bit...

Hi new guy here, just curious about something! The difference between the pd7 pro and pd7 ultra? as far as i can tell the diff is only in two items. 1st. you cannot play a blu ray inside the pd7 pro program which is kind of lame considering the fact that you can still author a blu ray disk. 2nd I think there are fewer templates or something! which when you think about it, why not just go to the cyberlink website that offers free templates. additionally my burner came with a bundle and inside was a fully functional blu ray player, so i installed my pd7 pro minus the player that was included and then installed only the fully functional player from my burner's bundle and it showed up in my new pd7 pro menu. wha la. i just could bring myself to pay 80 plus us extra just for a blu ray player that should have been included anyway. so does anyone know of any other differences..?

Angry Green Preview Screen replacing my video - annoying!

Is anyone else experiencing the problem I am? I added and edited only 40 seconds of video and now after clicking on the trim green arrow for additional videos, the preview screen will turn all green. So I have 40 seconds of awesome footage and now I can't add anything unless I want people to see nothing but a stupid green screen.

Getting help from cyberlink is also impossible. I spent money on this program and they can't even give me an answer over the phone without me having to pay MORE money? They also haven't answered any of my emails. This is a joke and I want to return it, but don't know who to even talk to to do so.

    freezes in edit

I use pow dir 7 ultra and when I edit the preview freezes everytime the cursor moves into another clip. Every time. If I want to click on a clip in the timeline view it freezes as well, while loading the clip. I have a high-end computer, so this puzzles me.

I had the green blank screen and found that .gif images were the cause, so I converted the few I had to jpeg.
