ANSI.SYS Windows XP SP3
I have an old program that needs to run under XP in a DOS window now.
It uses ANSI escape sequences . The program as such starts but is unuseable because of the escape equences don't work.
I tried to load c:\windows\system32\ansi.sys in CONFIG.NT , I also tried ANSI.COM by Michael J. Mefford by starting c:\windows\system32\COMMAND.COM
Does anyone have 'good old ANSI.SYS' (or an alternative) running under XP SP3, if so : what should I do to make it work for me as well?

Here's something that seems to apply
Found something that seems to address your situation at:
Command Interpreter Ansi Support
Do the suggestions at the above link match what you have already done?
Any other information you can provide?Last edited by Dan Aquinas; September 22nd, 2008 at 12:47 PM.
