Do not buy 4 1GB sticks of ram, buy 2 2GB sticks of ram.
I would look for an 8800 GT instead of the 9600 GT. They have been much cheaper lately and perform about the same.
Stick with the heatsink fan that comes with the processor.
What about a hard drive or dvd burner?

yeah perhaps your right about the ram at least in future it will be less hassel to upgarde if i run out of slots. Someone suggested i should get Sapphire HD 4870 512MB GDDR5 Dual DVI TV Out PCI-E Graphics Card instead. and change the mobo to ASUS P5K-E/WIFI-AP AiLifestyle Series P35 Socket 775 Socket eSATA 8 channel Audio. Im thinking i will get a better psu too. |

The 4870 would probably be better. In games that support SLI the 9600 GT's in SLI will beat it, but SLI requires a better power supply, an SLI motherboard, and dumps a huge amount of heat inside of your case if they are not both double slot coolers.
I am not sure on the quality of that Arctic Power psu, but quality is much more important than high wattage. |

If you dont plan to have 2 High end GPU's, then that 700W Antec will be more than enough.
The 4870 is a better GPU, but cost significantly more. If you have the money, then ya, go for it.
If the WIFI board cost a lot more, then dont get it.
Dont forget an Operating System. |

1 xIntel Core 2 Quad Q6600 G0 Stepping (2.4GHz 1066MHz) Socket 775 L2 8MB Cache (2x4MB (4MB per core pair) Retail Boxed Processor
1 x Sapphire HD 4870 512MB GDDR5 Dual DVI TV Out PCI-E Graphics Card
1 xASUS P5K-E/WIFI-AP AiLifestyle Series P35 Socket 775 Socket eSATA 8 channel Audio ATX Motherboard
1 xCorsair 4GB Kit (2x2GB) DDR2 800MHz/PC2-6400 XMS2 Memory Non-ECC Unbuffered CL5(5-5-5-18) Heat Spreader Lifetime Warranty
1 xAntec Nine Hundred 900 - Gaming Case with 200mm Top Fan - No PSU
1 xArctic Cooling AC-FRZ-7P Freezer 7 Pro Socket 775 Processor Cooler
1 xCorsair 620W HX Modular PSU - ATX12V v2.2 APFC
1 xSamsung SpinPoint F1 HD103UJ 1TB Hard Drive SATAII *32MB Cache* - OEM
This is going to total about £730 got the hard drive included now.
You can just carry on spending lol.
I think this will make a much better selection though. |

I wouldn't get a 1TB hard drive unless it is your secondary for storing data on and you plan on using a different one for your OS.
What about a dvd burner and the operating system? |

1 x Sapphire HD 4870 512MB GDDR5 Dual DVI TV Out PCI-E Graphics Card Great card for the price.
1 xASUS P5K-E/WIFI-AP AiLifestyle Series P35 Socket 775 Socket eSATA 8 channel Audio ATX Motherboard I would check into the Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3L board. It's a bit cheaper, and essentially the same thing.
1 xCorsair 4GB Kit (2x2GB) DDR2 800MHz/PC2-6400 XMS2 Memory Non-ECC Unbuffered CL5(5-5-5-18) Heat Spreader Lifetime Warranty As Ex said, go with 2x2Gb sticks
1 xAntec Nine Hundred 900 - Gaming Case with 200mm Top Fan - No PSU Might check into the Coolermaster CM 690. Generally they are cheaper, and offer better air flow IMO. Great looking case too
1 xArctic Cooling AC-FRZ-7P Freezer 7 Pro Socket 775 Processor Cooler That's a good cooler. Same thing I'm using on my Quad.
1 xCorsair 620W HX Modular PSU - ATX12V v2.2 APFC Great choice. That is a really good PSU
1 xSamsung SpinPoint F1 HD103UJ 1TB Hard Drive SATAII *32MB Cache* - OEM Also might check into Western Digital Caviar SE16 640Gb drive. They are almost as fast as Raptors are, and are under $100 here. | Looks like a nice build to me.
