A friend of mine wants to sell me one for 15$(with a monitor) but it comes without a HD,,,,, So I was wondering if anyone knows what type of HD I need.

You'll need a PATA drive. It is also called and IDE or ATA drive.

A Dimension 4300 is still pretty serviceable, so not bad for $15. Here are some helpful links for you:
drivers and downloads
manuals
Windows XP reinstallation guide

Good luck!

$50?! No reason to pass on that deal. Grab it.

Keep in mind, you'll probably want to update the BIOS and make sure you use an XP disc that includes at least SP1 so you can partition the entire drive.

To tell u the truth I never use XP's partitioning system I use Hiren's Boot CD which has a program called Acronis on it.
And by the way what kind of memory do I need for my PC. I was wondering because when I play games on it the PC restarts by itself....

Your pc uses PC133 sdram memory modules.

Newegg.com - 168-Pin SDRAM, Desktop Memory, Memory, Computer Hardware=

If the pc reboots while gaming I would take a close look at the graphics card. Does it have a fan? Does it spin? Is it covered with dirt/dust?

The graphics card is a nVidia 32 mb card without a fan...

Send a message via AIM to #43 fan
Perhaps the Power Supply is inadequate? Or, it could be bad memory.
What is the Power Supply? List Brand, Wattage, and Amperes on the 12V rail, located on the sticker of the Power Supply.
Then, you may want to consider downloading and running memtest.
