turn on and off
i have a dell and when i turn it on it will stay on for second and then turn off there is a beeb sound right when it turns off

Open the case and use a can of compressed air to clean out all of the dust - especially around the CPU (in the middle of the motherboard).

My ACER ASPIRE 3684NWXCI laptop switches off at the slightest movement. Check the cable and adapter; pull it out and fix it back and after several attempts on the ON button, the laptop comes to live again. Any idea(s) on why this is happening?

from my knowledge, the beep is a signal that the motherboard isn't receiving adequate power. check the ide cable connections.
