I removed your other post, there is no need to double post.
First off what are your temps, that is a very common cause of freezing!
Try running memtest, even if everything is new its could be bad memory.
Do you get a blue screen or any errors?
edit: is this the same pc from this thread if so are you sure you've got the voltages set correctly or have you been tinkering with them again?
Also what type (make+model) and specs do you have on your power supply?

use speedfan, pc wizard 08 or core temp
I'd also suggest temporarily removing the 2 2gig sticks of ram some boards have issues running 4 sticks and since you are using a 32bit os you really aren't using all the memory anyways. |

heres ss of my temp of my computers, dunno if this is helpful or not but this is the rate at which it freezes on me.
#3 post, yes its the same pc i've been playing with, i've been adjusting the settings but i put them back to default because it wouldnt work
500 watt power supply
DYNEX
MODEL: DX-PS500W
ATX12V Dynex :: Products For Your Digital Life - Dynex 500-Watt ATX CPU Power Supply
sorry forgot to mention also had 1 physical memory dump "blue screen"
k, i removed the 2 gigs of sticks
after i got done taking SS of the CPU-Z picture also got another random restart
its updated, last picture is wizard 08'..
what should my temps and vcore voltage settings in the bios be?

It has been awhile since I've used speedfan but it doesn't look like its reporting a few things correctly mainly the p/s. The one thing that stands out however is the temp3 84C. I forget what that'd be. The other thing that sticks out is your vcore readings, it might just be speedfan isn't reading it all correctly.
Try using everest home or pc wizard 2008, that might give you a clearer picture. Also check your temps and vcore voltage settings in the bios.
Dynexy, IDK, never heard of them so I don't know how good or bad they might be. I've always preffered a good quality P/S.
As I said, I'd remove the 2x 2gigs of ram, there is no need to have them there anyways (I see you've done that). Do your troubleshooting with a single stick at a time until you've got your system running smoothly. |

To me, Dynex is the K-Mart of PC parts. Now, I have a few Dynex parts (USB cables, HD enclosure). But for a power supply? I dunno. I would look into spending some $'s on a quality PS at this point...we're talking probably $30 to $60.
Besides that one temp, everything else looks good. I would try the PS fix first and then go from there...could be any number of things causing this. |
