I finished building my new computer last night, installed Vista Home Premium and I am running into an issue. First here are my computer specs
Intel Qx6850 Quad Core Extreme 3.0
EVGA 750i FTW SLI Motherboard
EVGA GTX280 SSC Edition
OCZ Reaper pc2-8500 DD2 1066mhz (4 gigs)
Seagate 7200rpm 160gb SATA 2 Hard Drive
Seagate 7200rpm 500gb SATA 2 Hard Drive
HP DVD+-RW w/ Light scribe
Cooler master Centurion 534 case
Cooler master 850w ps
Now for my problem. When I first installed everything the picture was very distorted and had random blocky messages all over the screen, i pulled video card and put in a spare i had (7600GS). Problem went away, I installed windows everything was fine.
After windows was installed i pulled the 7600gs out and installed the gtx280, problem came up again, i installed video drivers and it went away so i think all is good, well i load up a game for the first time(Counter Strike Source) it blue screens and crashes.
After this i flash the bios and reinstall the newest video drivers and it seems to be ok as of late but i am getting some random blue screens and or lock ups. I am pretty sure this is related to the video card, is their anything people have herd/had issues with such as overheating or issues with the new gtx280 ssc from EVGA? Thank you for reading this and hopefully we can get this fixed!
PS: I got a constant 300 FPS in Counter Strike Source!
