Not really.
If your going for the highest OC you can, then again, I'd say go for the Blood Iron.
Those OC nicely.
If you think your gonna leave it on stock settings most of the time, then I would go for the MSI with the faster RAM.

Yes, Corsair units are top quality. That would be a nice PSU.

I have seen some smaller WD SE16 Hard Drives ( 500GB ) and was wondering if the size of the drive had a relevance on speed or is it the make ( SE16 ) that makes it faster.

It's the particular drive series. The 250/500/750/1000GB drives have 1, 2, 3 and 4 platters. The 320/640GB drives have 1 and 2 platters.

Am i right in saying that i can crossfire the HD4850 GPU?
I was under the impression that it was just the very high end of cards that would do that.

The 900 does not come with fan filters. You can order some and place on there yourself if you want them.
Fan filters
Another suggestion would be check into the CM690. They come with filters on all the intake fans. And really it's a super nice case. If your into modding at all, then this case is even more ideal.

I can show you tons of mods for this case.

As long as your motherboard supports crossfire, you can run that on any 48xx series card. You have to have the same model of cards, like 2x 4850's, or 2x 4870's. On the older ATI cards, you had to have a "master" card, but they finally got away from that. But most ATI cards are crossfire compatible.
