quirky sound problem..hlp..
ok, here's the deal. My soundcard works great on my windows xp pro system on my PC, but every once and awhile something strange happens where i don't get any sound at all, and i figured out that it's something called 'Sysfader', because everytime it happens, if i shut down my computer to restart..before the computer quits or begins its restart pattern, it pops up the end program popup box and it says it is ending the 'Sysfader' ...whatever the hell that is...so when my computer is back online again after the restart, it gets rid of the Sysfader and my sound works again.
So i got to thinking, well, heck..if I it's this Sysfader thing, then I will just ctrl alt delete and force quit it everytime i don't get any sound right? wrong. because if i open up the task manager and go to the processes, it's not listed in the list...or possibly it IS there..but it's not called Sysfader..it's called something else perhaps..
If anyone knows anything about this..or can help me identify what the hell this thing is..PLEASE DROP me a line on the thread because it's annoying as hell. it doesn't happen very often, but it's lame that i have to restart just to get my sound back. Also, if i can't get rid of it completely, i would at least be satisfied in being able to find it in the task manager processes list so i could force quit it that way, and not have to restart..
thanks in advance for any suggestions/help..Signature does not meet TechIMO standards. Please see the FAQ for what's allowed in signatures.
