computer wiring

Ok... this is the problem...

I have 1 ATA Hard Drive, and 1 SATA DVD Burner, and 1 SATA Hard Drive.

The ATA hard drive right now is the master hard drive. I want to make the SATA one the Master. My power supply only comes with 1 Sata power cable which is connected to my Hard drive. The DVD burner and hard drives are connected to the motherboard by SATA data Cables. So everything is ok, but my dvd burner doesnt have power. Do i buy one of those adapter power cable thingy? and how do i solve the problem on how to make my SATA drive the master drive? And for some reason, when i format the SATA drive, my computer turns off half way i have 450W power.

EDIT: ok, i think it was crashing because of a bad disk.

There IS no "master" drive when referencing SATA drives
You simply set the boot order in the BIOS...
What is the brand of the power supply and what is the +12V amperage on the sticker?
yes, you should be fine using a SATA power splitter...
and what "crashing" are you referring to?
