8800 GT SLI NOT SCALING WELL :/

I JUST INSTALLED WINDOWS VISTA .... MY SETUP IS Q6600@ (2.7ghz) (3 ghz not stable for more than 2 hrs) ON ZALMAN CNPS 9700 NT (LAPPED) 4 GIGS XMS2 CORSAIR DDR2 / ASUS P5NE-SLI / XFX 8800 GT SLI @ 700/1800/2000 / CREATIVE X FI CHAMPIONSHIP SEREIS WITH X RAM/750 TT THOUGH POWA/ SAMSUNG DVD RW / MAXTOR DIAMOND STEALTH 7200 RPM 500 GIG SATA2 / VELOCI RATOR 200 GIG 10K RPM .... CRYSIS @ DX MAXED OUT RUNS SMOOTH WITH 4X AA AND 8X AF BUT OTHER LOW SPEC GAMES LIKE HALO2 COD 4 AND ETC LAAAGS LIKE HELL :_( .... BUT PLAYED THEM IN VISTA WITH A 8600 GTS WITHOUT LAAG .. SO Y IS IT LAGGIN WITH THIS SETUP .............. BUT IN XP ALL GAMES RUN >40 FPS WITH 16 XQAA ANF 16 X AF

are you running one or two 8800GT's? you mention SLI, but only list one 8800GT, if its one card, its not SLI.

umm...its 2 8800gt running in sli and sli is enabled and the sli perf mode is like afr 1 i think ...... but i dont understand y it doesnt scale well in vista but it does in xp .....

Old games that don't support SLI will usually run slower than running without SLI.

Also, make sure you grab the latest drivers from the nvidia website (and remove your old ones first).

oh srry it scales well in xp not in vista and im using 175.19 drivers well not only old games , also games like cod 4 seem to laag

and cod 4 settings are all maxed out 16 x af 16xq aa 1440x900

Its rude to type with your caps on. Some games simply dont like SLI. Its a fact, which is why 1 fast card is always better than 2 slower ones in SLI

and btw have u guys heard bout gt200b some source says its going to be clocked at 650/1650 , but will it be able to surpass the r770 aka hd4870x2 , imean 2 h4870 scales better than 2 gtx 280s (even in alot of cases hd4850 xfire outscales gtx 280 ) well my question is even if there were a gx2 will it be able to surpass the hd4870 x2 (hd 4870x2 scales better than 2 hd4870 in cf rite :/ i saw that somewhere ) and anyway should i get an x2 or should i wait it out and see what cards are available at good price / perf ratio
