dvd portable player

Okay I have had a portable dvd player over almost a year. Itworkes fine it plays all my dvds. Anyway last night I noticed this strange line near the bottom of the screen. At first I thought it was the dvd. But it shows up when I turn it on. So Im thinking that it is the player. Is it broken? Is there a way to fix it?

Okay here is the deal. I really dont want to buy a repair kit. If I have to I will. Would it work if I sprayed some glass cleaner onto a blank dvdr and ran it on the player?
