| How can I download FREE DVD copy software for copy-protected DVDs? I'm just looking to make back-up copies of some of my DVDs, but the software I have is crap. Be good to get better for free!! Also, is it possible to play a movie on your pc, pause it, and then copy that image to desktop background? Not had computer for long! Not sure of all the tricks! |

Not sure of all the tricks! | Just put it on full screen and pause at the desired location. Then simply use the PrtScn button, which is usually at the top right corner of the keyboard. Go to Paint and jsut paste your image

Go to Paint and jsut paste your image | make sure any controls and interfaces fade away first & mouse cursor hidden from fullscreen image first before hitting PrintScreen key though, for a more clean screen shot to paste into Paint or PhotoShop or whatever image editor you use. |

The print screen key is disabled for many applications while you are watching a movie.
To backup movies on DVD I use DVD Shrink, and, if that doesn't work, DVDFab HD Decrypter first, then DVD Shrink. |

Also make sure you are not using the hardware overlay feature of your video card, as this can sometimes interfere with copy/paste.

It was listed in the recent discussions earlier before I replied (I never check the date because I don't browse the forums, I only check the recent/most active discussions listed in the header). |
