| Customizing Windows 'Welcome Screen'
I have found plenty of workarounds for customizing the Windows Logon screen in Windows XP; from changing the text to imbedding my favorite photograph onto the selected User icon. I have learned how to customize my logon page background by changing the color and adding still another graphic of my choice. But, I don’t want to do that!
I have opted to bypass the XP ‘Logon Screen’ by using the “Automatic Logon” feature. So, instead of the ‘Logon Screen’ I get the “Welcome Screen” in all its wondrous and beautiful shades of blue. This screen is displayed for about 15-20 seconds before loading my personal Desktop. It is the “Welcome Screen” which is the topic of my query.
My question is:
When utilizing the “Automatic Logon” feature in Windows XP, is it still possible to customize the “Welcome Screen”? Can I change the graphics using a ‘tile’ or photograph of my choice? And, if so, how do I accomplish this?
The only information I can find requires me to fall back to the “Logon Screen” in order to customize. Many thanks for any assistance aiding in alleviating my frustrations
