Got a Hotmail account? Read in.
If you login to your hotmail account and to the right of the " Address Book" tab is "Options" click on Options and then go to the first choice which should be "Personal Profile" Once in "Personal Profile" scroll all the way to the bottom and you will see that Microcrap has reset everyones mailboxes to "Share my e-mail address" and "Share my other registration information." Uncheck them and click "UPDATE"

What makes me the most mad is no email saying that their privacy policy was changing.
By the way, go to theregus.com there's an article there about it.

I posted some news on that last night, so it hsould be up in 4-5 days...just in time to be out of date.
It is hard to believe that they would do that, although not out of MS realm apparantly. :-/

The question is : what is the goal of actually having the choice for these options ?
An email account should be private. What's this sharing for ?

Problem is once your address is in the spam lists they stay there unless delivery bounces back.... Hmmmm time to create a new account I guess.
<edit> not to mention that almost every SMTP server transmitting spam seems to be infected with the Klex virus </edit>

I created a new account recently and during set up I specifically made sure those boxes were unchecked because I kept getting the britney sexchat and tadger enlargening treatment spam.
those check-boxes are placebo - I still get the spam even with a very unlikely e-mail address
I consider myself to be pretty good about staying legit in life; I don't expect everyone on the planet to play by the same rules, but from an organization that keeps bleating about how it's getting shafted by illegal activity such as piracy... well I find that pretty 6-21-3-11-9-14-7 hypocritical
Go ahead, crack my code

I think they did it so your account would fill up quickly and you`d be forced to pay for the extra storage. Gary

And to think I just posted in a thread saying how much I like WinXP.

While this does piss me off, it also makes me realize there's no such thing as a "free lunch".

All i can say is its too late for most aussies, Our privacy was distroyed by a program called PROMIS. We got it dirt cheap from the americain gov and it was used to store all our personal info.
Too bad it was spywaqre and returned all the info back to its home land
