| Can a netbook play Hulu video? Visual Studio?
I'm looking into getting a netbook, mainly the HP mini netbook. Do these intel atom processors handle hulu (or similar) HD video? What about if I upgraded the ram to 2 GB?
What about Visual Studio?
Thanks! |

You know, I've never tried Hulu on the Eee.
Let me try it out real quick. |

Ok.. well in full screen on the Eee, hulu plays fairly well. There is some lag every now and then, but it's not horrible.
I have no way to test the HD capability though. |

Thanks! |

I'm in Xandros (linux). Ours has 2gigs of RAM also. We have the 4Gb solid state drive version.
And I was talking about just Hulu videos. I'm sitting here watching American Dad now.. lol |

I know, but Hulu gives you the option of watching a show or movie in HD (480p). Have you tried that? Full screen? How does it work? Thanks again. |

I did try that, and that's what I was talking about..sorry..
The full screen is ok. The more I watch, the more I notice it does lag. I wouldn't recommend one for HD videos. |

Pretty good. It plays much better then the 480's.
Again, I'm not sure if Xandros would effect it for the better or worse. |

Anyone else? I plan on getting a netbook with XP and 1 gig of ram. Anyone running visual studio? How much space does it take up on the drive (I'm looking at a 16 gig SSD). Thanks. |
