RAID 1

I'm pretty sure I've set my RAID one up on; at least on boot the Nvidia on-board controller says "Healthy Array".

Is there anyway to see the second drive and make sure it's ok?

I'm leary to test it by pulling a drive and rebooting; then trying it again on the other drive....there has to be some utility there to verify???

Thanks,

Roots

the section you setup the array should give you a break down of the health of the array.

Does nvidia have any windows software you can install?

Nvidia MediaShield is the windows software, as far as I can tell, it wont show you the second drive but it claims to use a "visual alert system" to let you know when you have trouble with your array.

The benefits of the NVIDIA MediaShield Storage suite include:

* Now with RAID 5 offering smart data protection and optimal data access: Users now have the peace of mind to store their personal pictures, music, videos, and other important documents on their PC without having to worry about losing the data. RAID 5 offers fault tolerant capability to automatically back up your most important files, while also providing faster disk access and additional storage capacity.

* Intelligent Disk Alert System simplifies troubleshooting: Provides the user an easy way to identify the failing SATA drive through a visual "alert system".

* Dual-Controller architecture delivers unmatched scalability and performance: Exploits the dedicated storage controller in NVIDIA nForce MCPs so that as SATA devices are added to RAID 0 or RAID 0+1 array your storage performance increases.

* NVIDIA is leading the market with top SATA 3Gb/s disk drive manufacturers: SATA 3Gb/s doubles bus bandwidth and improves disk performance for blazingly fast disk performance.2
