Is this a decent gaming PC?

Hello,

I'm trying to find a good computer that I can game with, and isn't too expensive. I was gonna say gaming computer at first, but all gaming computers I've seen are a little bit too expensive for me. I don't know so much about hardware, so I'm a bit lost there. It's really hard for me to find out if it's a decent gaming PC or not, so that's why I'm posting here.

Here are the system specs of the computer I'm interested in to buy. I would just like to know if I can game with it (Call of Duty: World at War, Call of Duty 4, Age of Conan, Left 4 Dead, games like that):

Code:
Intel Core 2 Quad Processor Q9400
Nvidia GeForce 9600GT with 512 MB and HDMI
4 GB RAM and 1 TB harddisk
7.1 High Definition Audio
I know this isn't much information but I got this from the shop, and I can't really find the detailed computer specs on the internet. The computer brand is a Fujitsu-Siemens Amilo Pi 3630 001.

I can buy this computer for 899 euro (1,223.43 USD) in Belgium (yes I'm from Belgium by the way ) The highest I am willing to pay for a computer would be around 1000 euro (1,360.94 USD), so I really like this computers' price. Would it be worth the money? Any suggestions are welcome!

Also, before someone starts suggesting me to build my own computer, I'm not going to start with that, all I want is a computer to play good games with that I like without having to worry about hardware problems.

Sorry for my somewhat poor english

Thanks in advance

Kijk eens aan, een zuiderbuur op Techimo.

Welcome to techIMO 1st of all.

The few details you gave away about the to-buy pc, tells me, and probably everyone else who knows their thing, that that rig is nice for gaming.

You can play all todays games with that, some not on the highest details, but most that should do just fine.

You can probably come down a notch on the processor, go with a smaller, faster Hard Drive and HDMI is pointless unless you plan on hooking your PC up to a TV, so a different video card may be in order.

It will definitely do the job, but if you're looking to be a bit more frugal, there are probably other options. What's the link to the shop's site?

Yep. You should try to get at least a 9800GTX+ if you want to call it a good gaming rig by todays standards. But a 9600GT isnt all that bad.. Its a very good mid range card.
