Alright this is what I am thinking about doing for a build... Just wondering what you think. Also any suggestions on a case and a liquid cooling system would be great. I was thinking of a mountain mods case. Just unsure. I included prices just incase anyone has found a cheaper spot to buy from.. Currently going to just go strictly through newegg. Please note I will be overclocking as much as poss! Case:Unknown need suggestions! POWER SUPPLY: ePOWER EP 2000W-SLI-Ready Price: 599.99 CPU: Intel® Core™ i7-920 2.66 GHz 8M L3 Cache LGA1366 Price:288.99 (reason for the 920 instead of the 940 or 965 is pricing value of the other 2 isnt worth it) MOTHERBOARD: EVGA 1366 Intel X58 ATX Intel Motherboard Price:299.99 (anyone have better ideas on motherboard?????) MEMORY: OCZ Gold 12GB (6x 2GB) 240 pin DDR3 1333 (PC3 10666) Cas Latency 9 Price:349.99 (would 1600 mhz be better for oc?) VIDEO CARD: Need suggestions for triple sli HARD DRIVES: Western Digital WD20EADS 2TB Sata 3.0Gb/s Harddrivex2 Total 4TB Price Per Unit:299.99 Vid Card-x3 GTX 285-price per unit:434.99 Total Price 3143.92

you don't need a 2000watt power supply. 1200 watts should do, but 2000 is a little much. one of them nvidia tesla computers don't even need the 1200 watt psu that they come with and they have 4 4GB video cards in them.
thats $3000 you could give me

why not base a system off of an nvidia tesla system?

Um, what I'm thinking is HOLY CRAP BATMAN!! That is one heckuva system you're thinking about man. You don't list an optical drive, are you thinking Blu-Ray or regular DVD?
How about this for a case: LIAN LI PC-A7110B Black Aluminum ATX Full Tower , not flashy, but has lots of fans. Even with liquid cooling you'll still need lots of airflow!
Karmakiller is the resident expert on liquid cooling, so you might have to wait until he pops in.

Do you got a link for benchmarks by any chance? I am having trouble googling the nvidia tesla computer benchmarks. Im still liking the tri sli 285 setup but if it so happens the gpu that the tesla systems use(even the cheap one) are the same at a lower running requirements and better fps etc. that might be the way to go.
optical drives ive got a blue ray burning going in that i already own along with a cd/dvd burner.
As for the power supply the reason i want a 2000W is that I am going to try to overclock as much as poss. |

I was thinking of a mountainmods as their server designed cases are spacious enough to fit 2 mobos and such in(havent seen one in real life just by lookin at specs) would allow me to have enough air cooling running through along with a liquid cool. Also by looking at the 920 ive been reading of reports of 4 ghz for overclocking are not uncommon. Anyone actually over clock this chip yet?
Also for the mountain mod case I was looking at was this one: MountainMods.com-Computer Cases-Ascension CYO-Ascension CYO (Choose Your Own)
Basicly triple quad fan placements on both sides. Their quad panel on the back and the 720 quad on the front.(another reason for the higher psu) (as with my math i think its 39 total fans) (hoping to get away with water cooled fyi)
