Best HDD arrangement

So here's the thing, I am running out of hard disk space, not only on my raptor which has gotten to the point where for everything I install I have to uninstall something else, but also on the 500gb I use for data storage (I also have a 250gb that is reserved for driver backups and running W7).
So currently I have three hard drives, as noted in sig. I have about $200 that I can use for upgrading my storage, and I am trying to figure out what my best options will be as far as performance and total capacity. I have a preference towards WD, and I do not have any open SATA or PATA ports (I assume removing the 250 and 500gb drives).
I am not opposed to install a pci drive controller, but the total has to be within the ~$200. I would also like to get an external drive, whether that be just a case for one of my current drives, or something new.
Currently, I am leaning towards getting a WD cavier black 1tb, but I am just not sure.

I understand your preference for WD, especially the Blacks.

Unfortunately the only way to meet your budget will be looking at the Barracuda 1TB (or patiently wait for the Black to go on sale) . A pair of those will leave you with $20 toward an external USB/eSATA enclosure.

Well, one thing I did notice was that the 1tb wd black is only $110 at tigerdirect with only $2 shipping. And I am a little hesitant on that seagate seeing how low its rating is.
I think right now, I am looking at getting the 1tb wd black, and a 640gb wd black (the 640 I think will share in holding programs with the raptor).
That should give me enough space, I haven't checked the price on the 640gb, and I have also had hard time finding a 3.5" enclosure that doesn't look like a safe.
