RECYCLER VIRUS AND AUTORUN.INF

Hi all does anyone know a way of completing getting rid of this Virus
the Virus is called RECYCLER and autorun.inf I found it when doing an unsual activerty Audit researched it and found it it was a virus went on cmd.exe and
typed the following command cd C:\ then typed Dir/b/ah wich shows hidden files then i saw RECYCLER and autorun.inf so my next command was to make them visible so i used Attrib -s -h -a RECYCLER then Attrib -S -H -A autorun.inf
then to go to the infected folder start C:\ after these commands i selected the files and folders and clicked shift Delete but When i restart my computer on the 4th time it is BACK! any idears what i can do i have reported problem to macafee and also reported it to norton both find the infection remove it and then the warning comes again what can i do i do not have a rescure disk and my computer is slow and usless

Which Norton product and version you are using to scan?

In your posting you mention that you have used both Norton and McAfee to scan your computer. You should never have more than one real-time anti virus application installed at the same time, as it can cause conflicts which can leave your system vulnerable to infection.

I would advise you to remove McAfee using their removal tool and then restart your computer.

Next, open your Norton product and manually run LiveUpdate to make sure that you have the latest program and definition updates applied. When the updates have been installed, restart your computer again, but this time boot into Windows Safe Mode. Next, launch Norton and perform a "Full System Scan."

Let me know which Norton product and version you are using and also if the infection is removed permanently after following the instructions.

hi mike thanks for that i will keep you posted sorry for the confusion as well i run them on two diffrent pc,s not toghter did know that hope i will get there soon speak soon kind regards bradley the version is norton anti virus and internet seacurity 2009
