IdeaCentre K210 57082788
Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600
4GB DDR2

DVD Recorder Drive Rambo
NVIDIA GEFORCE 9300 256M
Vista Home Premium

I am having difficulty getting my dvd drive to recognize any info off of cds or dvds. I can see the drive in the device manager. It has 2 drivers. I tried updating them both and vista says they are up to date. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling. I can put a disc in. once I click on the drive it just spits it out and says application error. I also tried uninstalling one or the other of the drivers and this causes it not to work at all. I recently deleted DAEMON tools from this PC as well. Any thoughts? |

A couple specs of dust inside the drive can cause this...

Something strange. I have 2 drivers for this device. One is set to region 1 US. The other is not set and will not let me set it. It says it reports that it requires media of region 1 and please insert that format. Just a thought. |

1 drive 2 drivers? I am not experienced with troubleshooting optical drives but should there be 2 drivers for 1 drive? I was able to boot Norton recovery tool. So the drive works until normal windows operation. Will not read any kind of cd/dvd. Just spits it out after i double click. |
