Setting up New Comp

I finally got my i7 system in the mail! Seeing as I'm not rich and would hate to see it burn up or somthing when I plug it in, I have these questions.

SYSTEM:
2.66GHz intel core i7 CPU
Foxconn Renissance MOBO
OCZ Stealth Stream PSU
6GB DDR3 1333MHz RAM
GTX275 GPU

1) On the MOBO for the 24-pin ATX power slot...
The power supply I have has a 20-pin connector and right next to that is a 4-pin connector labelled "24" Do I plug in the 4-pin as well? why didn't it just have a full 24 pin connector...

2) On the CPU power slot of the MOBO it has a 8-pin slot. The power supply provides two 4-pin connectors labelled CPU1 and CPU2 do I plug them in side by side? The do fit...

In the power supply manual it says "Dual CPU support: 8-pin 12V dual CPU support with stable voltage"

I have only ONE cpu the i7.

3) My MOBO takes DDR3 1600(oc)/1333(oc)/1066Mhz RAM.

The RAM I have is:
"PC3 10660 1333Mhz CL 7-7-7-24 2GBx3 TC Kit"

Is is necessary to change anything in the BIOS to account for the overclocking?
Actually do I have to change anything for any of the hardware in my system?

4) There's two circuits of 4-pin big horizontal connectors. At the end of each circuit there is a small 4-pin connector. One labelled P11, the other P7. What are these for?

5) When putting the two PCI-Express 6-pin power connectors into the GTX275 I've noticed there's an extra 2-pin connector along with the PCI-Express2. What is this for? I see no where to plug it in.

6) How do I install HD audio with SPDIF cord using GTX275 and Foxconn Renissance MOBO? The MOBO has no on-board audio, so they give you a Harp card. There is no SPDIF on the MOBO except where the Harp card plugs in at. I'm sure the GTX275 can probably produce better HD Audio than the Harp card so I take it out. Ok SO, where the Harp card was plugged in it has like 8 or so pins one of the pins is for SPDIF and the one next to it is NC. (says so in the MOBO manual) Should I just plug in the SPDIF cord there? It will have no ground pin... AND my case is the NZXT Gaurdian, it has a connector labelled AC'97 and another labelled HD Audio. I don't know where to connect these. I see no slot for them on the Harp card, MOBO or GTX275. Maybe its one of the 8 pins the harp was plugged into? Well the Cases manual doesn't name the pins of the AC'97 or HD Audio so I cant match them up. Neither does it mention what they are for!

7) When I was installing the CPU I pressed down really hard on it yet there was no real indication that it was in there all the way. The metal cover thing with the lever clamped down over it. I guess they make it fool proof right? If the covers on with the lever down, its in right?

Hope someone can help!

Older motherboards only had 20pin sockets, the idea behind the removable 4pin is incase you wanted to use the PSU on a 20pin mobo.

Yes plug them both in. They are to provide more power to the cpu especialy when overclocking.

I imagine it will set it to the default of the board (1066) you will need to go into the bios and set it to 1333.

4) There's two circuits of 4-pin big horizontal connectors. At the end of each circuit there is a small 4-pin connector. One labelled P11, the other P7. What are these for?
The small four pin connectors are for floppy drives and older mid range GPU's.

5) When putting the two PCI-Express 6-pin power connectors into the GTX275 I've noticed there's an extra 2-pin connector along with the PCI-Express2. What is this for? I see no where to plug it in.
Some of the really high end cards today require more power and use the full 8 pins instead of just the 6.

6) How do I install HD audio with SPDIF cord using GTX275 and Foxconn Renissance MOBO? The MOBO has no on-board audio, so they give you a Harp card. Does the 'harp' card have an SPDIF pins? GPU's are not sound emitting devices. The whole thing behind SPDIF is so you can send the sound through the card and out through HDMI to your tv. Im not sure about you sound card adapter thing, I will have to take a look at the board.

Unless you are planning to connect this to you tv or monitor with built in speakers, there is no point in using the cable. Just plug your speakers into the sound card as normal.

7) When I was installing the CPU I pressed down really hard on it yet there was no real indication that it was in there all the way. The metal cover thing with the lever clamped down over it. I guess they make it fool proof right? If the covers on with the lever down, its in right?
I hope you didnt push in the actualy cpu, it can just be placed in no force needed (only the lever will require a little pressure to lock into place). as long as you lined up the arrow and the two semi-circle groves, the cpu is inserted properly and the metal cover folds over and you just push the lever down behind the clip.

Hope someone can help!
Hope that helps.

Yes, the Harp card has these two slots: CD_IN and F_AUDIO. CD_IN is 4-pin. F_Audio is 10-pin. I assume the cord from my case labelled HD_Audio plugs into F_Audio. However the Harp has no 2-pin slot for the SPDIF cable. Documentation on Harp is very limited.

Yes, I did press down pretty hard on the Cpu. I hope I didn't damage it.

I had to google 'harp' to see what it was, the manual should have the pins labeled.

It should be fine as long as it was lined up properly when you put presure on it. Alot of aftermarket heatsinks put a fair bit of pressure on the CPU.
