Hi and welcome...

Definately change that power supply.... You want a good quality unit.

Newegg.ca - OCZ StealthXStream OCZ500SXS 500W ATX12V / EPS12V Active PFC Power Supply - Power Supplies

Also would suggest you pick up a mobo that supports DDR3 with the way prices are DDR2 costs just as much as DDR3....

Newegg.ca - GIGABYTE GA-MA770T-UD3P AM3 AMD 770 ATX AMD Motherboard - AMD Motherboards

Newegg.ca - G.SKILL 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333 (PC3 10600) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model F3-10600CL9D-4GBPK - Desktop Memory

So Newegg.ca - OCZ StealthXStream OCZ500SXS 500W ATX12V / EPS12V Active PFC Power Supply - Power Supplies is a good power supply? I really didn't know what to look for in a power uspply so thanks for that

do you have any specific suggestions for the mobo? I don't really know what specifically to look for in a mobo so that'd be helpful too :P
Newegg.ca - GIGABYTE GA-MA785GPMT-UD2H AM3 AMD 785G HDMI Micro ATX AMD Motherboard - AMD Motherboards
Newegg.ca - GIGABYTE GA-MA785GMT-UD2H AM3 AMD 785G HDMI Micro ATX AMD Motherboard - AMD Motherboards

anything else?

I did link a mobo and DDR3 in my first post.... Only other thing is to make sure that 260GTX is the 216 SP model and not the 192 (otherwise you may as well just get a 5770).

Yes it is a good power supply

This is a faster hard drive and a little more expensive, but its fast enough to be recommended multiple times on this site for performance systems.

uh, you linked the same mobo that I linked in my original post... and as far as I can tell on the NCIX site it looks like it's 216. (this thread in particular, I think is saying it's the 216: NCIX FORUMS - title says GTX 260 Core Edition....216?... - XFX GeForce GTX 260 Core Edition 576MHZ ...

If it's actually a much better hard drive, I'll get it I suppose
