Click F8 before Windows boots up!
That should do it!

I think it will ask you if you want to goto into MS-DOS mode or step - by step configuration, correct me if im wrong.... |

Depending on which version of windows you have you will get different choices.
9x you will get an option for DOS, Normal, Safe Mode and Step by Step I believe
2K/XP just has Safe Mode, Normal and maybe a step by step.
A good time to hit f8 (IMO) is right after the bios is done checking hardware (you hear it beep).

It should give you a Menu it's depends on what OS you have Got if you've got Windows 98 or earlier it's would give you the option to boot into dos as well as booting into safe mode, if ME or Later it' won't include dos in the menue.

Xp is Normal, Safe, safe with Network support(I think), and Last known good.
98 is Normal, Safe, Step by step, Safe mode with Command propmt, and Command prompt only.
Win ME is only Normal, safe, and step by step.

Hey, Ok it's operating system is win,98 and someone told me that all i had to do is hit the "ctrl" button when i start my computer and that would alow me to bypass windows starting up , |
