    where's this from?

Apple - iPad - Features - The best device for web, email, and photos.

seems to me they blow its trumpet rather than any others. and hey there's nothing wrong with blowing trumpets . shouting from the rooftops. its ok.

or maybe.....just possibly. it's for people who'd like an ipad. they love how it looks. they understand it's potentail and its limitations. and it's all they want it to be.

I'm waiting for the Microsoft Courier if it is any thing like the leaked videos it looks pretty cool.
The Courier looks gross, IMO. The split screen sucks, and I hate the idea of having to use a specialized pen to make it work. It looks like a glorified wi-fi sketchpad with access to Google Docs.
HP's Slate, OTOH, could be a fully functioning Win7 tablet, if the rumour mill is correct. That would be the winner, IMO.
    Good job, friend-of-friends!

Slept on it. Now I think I am pretty disappointed by the no flash on the ipad. I like to watch videos online, I don't even pay for cable. This would be one of the main things I'd like to do.
I get why they don't do it, but the no flash, and no multitasking, though still software issues that theoretically could be resolved, really are deal breakers on this one. Jobs says the ipad would be better at web browsing than a netbook. But that can't be true if you can't access thousands of web pages.

Just kidding, and expressing my need for apple products, here in New England they are just called steak and cheese, or my favorite Steak, and Cheese, and Mushroom.

There might be one of the big chains that call it Philly Cheese Steak, but the little "Sub Shops" are so much better.

I shudder at the thought of "American themed" anything from across the pond.... I had a bottle of "American style Ranch dressing" (pronounced by the Brits as Raunch). Tasted like a thick Caesar dressing with some odd flavoring added to it...

lack of multi tasking on on the igoldie is a mistake. there will be similar products that aren't handicapped like this. still an adorable piece of kit but like i said i'll probably never own one.

It absolutely works both ways... Heck, compare our fish n chips to theirs

Just saying, I don't think I would want to try a "Philly Cheesesteak" over there... They aren't even comparable outside of Philly! (Tasty, yes, but not the same as an actual Philly one...)

I actually did that to a computer once. Funny thing is that it was a mac (the irony of posting this in a thread that has connections to apple).

It is why the only Apple I have ever owned, was given to me, and after seeing if it worked, haven't used it since.

And apple was the very first computer I ever use.
It turned me on to Flight sim, though.
I think that was 33 years ago.

I had chinese food in london once, at what was supposed to be a pretty nice restaurant. Worst I ever had. I wouldn't leave it to the brits to get much right on food (except maybe fish and chips).

Smile I will not be getting one.

Did you know that the iPad runs on batteries? They run on batteries like Duracell, Energizer, ect. You cannot charge you iPad if it runs out of battery. You would think, oh if it runs out of battery, I'll just buy some more batteries. What would that help? Apple made a mistake and they didn't make that little battery changer! They made the back completely SMOOTH, so if you want to change your batteries, it's either:
    A. you literally OPEN your iPad professionally and have whoever's
changing your battery do it. [This will probably cost more than
what you pid for your iPad]

    B. You buy a new one. If you have your reciept or if you have your
warrenty, you get a knew one for $99.

The iPad is a rip-off. If you don't believe me, go to the Apple store to see for yourself. If you see no battery changer, you owe me. If you see a charger, it's either an earphone plugger or a speaker thing.
