I just ordered my new gaming rig. here's my specs:
This is one of those geeky "check out my new computer" posts, but I'm so excited I can't help it...
-Athlon XP 2000+
-512 MB Kingston PC2100 memory
-Leadtek Geforce4 ti4200 64 mb (I skimped a little here, but it came really cheap with this computer, and I figure I'll eventually be upgrading the video card anyhow).
-Soundblaster Audigy
-Gigabyte via kt333 motherboard (i know the 333 is pointless, but that's what they were offering)
-19" NEC FE950+ Diamondtron CRT
-16X Toshiba DVD
-32X Lite-On CDRW
-Creative Inspire 5300 speakers
It costed me $1440 including shipping at Nutrend.com.
can't wait till Doom 3 comes out. yippee!

Nice system, probchild! I read an article that said the 2100+ beats out a P4 2.4 gig 400mhz FSB in benchmarks. Pretty kick-ass.

I wanted to get a ti4400, but I was a little short on cash, and the ti4200 saved me about $75.
Also, I figure that since my current system is a PII350 with an 8MB graphics card, the improvement will be so drastic that I'll be pretty happy with the 4200 regardless.

Actually it doesn't say. I figured all the GF4ti's came with the same kind of memory.
