| Page Cannot Be Displayed
I am new to the forum so forgive me if I am in the wrong area for this question, I have not been able to log into hotmail, as well as some other *common* sites are unable to load, I cant use yahoo webcams all of a sudden as well. I have tried changing settings, I was hoping someone could suggest something I might not have tried yet. Thanks. Warren. |

when I try to log into Hotmail, it says Cannot find server, page cannot be displayed, then goes on to tell me how to change the settings. For yahoo cam etc. it is Network Connection Failure. it all seemed to happen at the same time. |

If you didn't manually do something then it's either your ISP being flaky or some piece of software did it.
First off what type of connection do you have?
That might help diagnosing the prob.
BTW Welcome to TechIMO! |

I am running DSL, this just started occurring about a week ago, one moment I could access these sites then the next sites were no longer accessable. I did have some trojans that I removed, and the system says it is running smooth but I have noticed loading of windows as well as sites have become much slower. |

Heya!
One thing you'll REALLY want to look into now that you're on DSL (nobody told me! lol) is a software firewall, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.. I'd suggest Sygate Personal Firewall ( www.sygate.com) don't bother with the pro version that one costs...
Also how did you get rid of the trojans?
You have a virus scan?
so you can get to this page, but not hotmail/yahoo webcam? lol
Sorry I'm late for the show
Welcome to my other home lol

Try using The Cleaner
The Cleaner is the most powerful trojan detection and removal program in the world. It can detect every known trojan and keep your system from being infected. Unlike anti-virus programs, The Cleaner can also remove trojans already in your computer.
The Cleaner is available as a free 30-day trial. And Welcome to TechIMO Warren! |

Thanks for the welcome surreal.. I downloaded the program, ran it and it found a trojan in a BDE file...It cleaned it, I cant tell if it did any good though. Thank you for letting me know about the program... I am glad it at least detected the trojan (I knew I wasnt crazy) lol
Still cant get into hotmail unfortunately. |
