Win7 running xp mode program, need it to start program on restart.

I have a computer, which is used as a mini site server.
The program used to 'serve' the site runs on ethernet.
Win7 does not support ethernet. (not IP)
So the program runs in XP mode.
Usually i just slap a shortcut of the program in the startup folder and everything is hunky-doreee.
But since xp mode does not run, until a user logs into the machine, it does not work.

Can i somehow have the bios/other start the program?
(How can i run an executable before win7 starts... if a batch file is needed i would need help with writing the batch file also.)

Or do i have to make it auto-login (no password and just login to win7)?

    Thank you.
    I'm a noobile.

What the heck are you talking about??

What is the program you are trying to make run?

"NiagaraD.exe" is the program process name/executable file.
It is a proprietary instance of a Tridium (another proprietary, kinda open) AX. (which is a system integration tool.)

    Ethernet != IP
(i am running a proprietary control protocol [bacnet] to retrieve and command another proprietary control protocal [also bacnet], each with their own proprietary branded devices. All this BACNet is running on ethernet... or piggy backing on it, and the TCP/IP layer. And there are three different generations of devices on the network -- really old, old, and brand new) [typing that makes me see why my job sux]

Really... all i need to know is:
How can I get XP Virtual Machine mode to run in Win7, any time the machine boots up?
    or
How can i get a program to run in XP VM mode in Win7, any time the machine boots up?

Ok well my point was being why can't it just run in W7 or run in compatibility mode directly from W7 so you can bypass the XP VM mode directly. Because I don't think there is away to make Xp mode boot direct at startup

I was told by the manufacturer of the product that Win7 does not support ethernet (mayhaps they meant that Win7 does not support BACnet... or maybe .... more likely... their product does not support Win7. Either way, it no workie with Win7. (Sux because the product was ordered, and on the spec sheet it listed Ethernet, BACnet, etc etc etc.) From what i have seen on internet searches, win7 made some changes to the way networking works, low-level stuff my brain can't wrap around.
I reckon they will just be outta luck if/when the power goes out.
I reckon i will have to get a UPS with a big battery to cover our butts.
(Nobody on site would have a clue how to remote desktop to the 'computer', much less to figure out why it isn't working and start up XP VM mode.) (Heck it took me ten minutes to figure out why it wasn't communicating... and i just set it up yesterday as VM. durr.)
    hrmm.

I'm shooting from the hip, here. Enable auto-login. Add the XP VM to the W7 startup folder. Within the VM program (assuming it remembers your instance and doesn't boot fresh every time), add NiagaraD.exe to XPs startup folder.
I have no idea if this is possible, but it seems plausible.
    Good job, friend-of-friends!
