    New Computer Build

So I have around £300 for a new machine. I already have a 23" TFT monitor.

I mainly use it for coding, web development so Photoshop, etc. I also play a few games, mainly MMORPGs and Skyrim.

Here's what I've looked at so far:
    Biostar H61MLC Socket 1155 mATX Motherboard £40.03
    Corsair 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 1333MHz XMS3 Memory Kit CL9 1.5V unbuffered £34.98
    Intel Core i3 2100 3.10GHz Socket 1155 3MB L3 Cache Retail Boxed Processor £89.72
    EVGA GTX 550Ti SuperClocked 1GB GDDR5 DVI HDMI PCI-E Graphics Card £94.98
    Corsair 430W V2 CX Series PSU £34.40

The total cost is £305.20, which is just out of my budget and doesn't yet include a case. My problem is I'm not sure if they're all compatible either.

What changes would you recommend to keep it within my budget and to also have a case, and everything else I need?

    Regards,
    Karl

Im sorry.. that website is so hard to use for me.... So unorganised... people should really copy newegg or CDW....

But I was able to get you a case in there with good parts also...

But it made it go 7 over.... really tried to prevent that... but the website is kinda limited on products.. and I dont know what country you are in so I just went with the site you used...

    RAM

    MOBO

    CPU

    CASE

That case comes with fans but if you have 3 extra 120mm fans you can add them into it for the front and side of the case. Would defiantly recommend.

    Same Power Supply
    Same GPU

Yeah I hate using the site too, I'm from the UK.

Perhaps Aria PC - Computer Hardware, Components, Monitors.. at lowest prices or Overclockers UK would be a little more useful for finding a decent config?

I think I'd prefer an i3 2100 unless the AMD is better, not sure whether to stick with 8GB RAM though.

    Sapphire ATI Radeon HD 7750 1024MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card [11202-00-20G]

    Intel Pentium G850 2.90GHz (Sandybridge) Socket LGA1155 Processor - Retail []

    Gigabyte H61M-S2PV Intel H61 (Socket 1155) DDR3 Motherboard []

Cooler Master GX 450W '80 Plus' Power Supply []

    Cooler Master Elite 311 Midi Tower - Black/Orange [RC-311B-OKN1]

    OcUK Value 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-10666C9 1333MHz Low-Voltage Dual Channel Kit []

    Sub Total : £240.28

    Shipping : £17.10

    VAT : £51.48

    Total : £308.86

Even replacing the 7750 with a GTX 550 Ti, increases the price, replacing with a Radeon 6750 or 6770 drops the price, but total is still more than 300.

I've found in general between Ebuyer, Novatech, OCuK, even Aria, that the first 2 are generally cheaper.

OCuk has some good deals, but in general the total price is more than Ebuyer and Novatech.

    Gigabyte GA-H61M-S2PV Intel H61 (Socket 1155) Motherboard | GA-H61M-S2PV

    Corsair Value Select 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-10666C9 1333MHz Dual Channel Kit | CMV8GX3M2A1333C9

    Corsair CX 430W V2 ATX2.2 80 PLUS® Power Supply | CMPSU-430CXV2UK

    2nd Generation Intel® Core™ i3 2120 3.3GHz Socket LGA1155 - Retail. | BX80623I32120

Novatech Vulcan Midi Case | NOV-VULCAN

Total with Free 3-4 Day delivery option, £303.91 Including VAT.

Better CPU option, but GPU is less than GTX 550 Ti, though still quite capable.

The Novatech list isn't bad considering it has an i3 in it.

Though the Ebuyer one is similar as well, but the CPU is only 100Mhz Slower, and there's a bit less Cache Memory on the CPU, not enough to really make a huge difference.

Just so you know those Pentium Dual Cores ARE an i3, it just has reduced specs for a lower price point.

And as I said in your other thread, where this stuff was already posted, with many options, and the same CPU, that Pentium Dual Core will beat almost every AMD Phenom II X4, along with the AMD FX 4100 Quad, as far as Gaming goes.

And pretty sure it will best the same CPU's in Workstation like tasks as well.

That's an option, but I didn't bother with it, since you stated you'd like to keep it all from one place to order.

Yeah I did, but if I can get the best from different places and save a bit of money I think it would be the best thing to do.

    Just a quick tip.

Never buy anything from eBuyer. If your components go bad, you've had it. They're also not the cheapest either. A large proportion of their revenue is declining returns.

Search around for reviews on their returns. Especially if you are building a PC you could come across problems and might need to RMA (which they are not very fond of)

Don't forget to pay the 20% restocking fee

ignore them, their spamming, they have a hidden spam link in their "sig" its invisible, but if you hit the quote post button you can see their spam link.

Bonehead used the wrong Tags for their Link, should of use URL instead of IMG.

There will be no bottleneck, they idiot doesn't know what their talking about.
