Depending on what operating system you have, you'll probably need to go into a command prompt and type in:
print /D:Path(Device Path) filename(e.g. test.prn)
e.g. print /D:LPT1 test.prn or replace LPT1 w/ a network path of a shared printer |

Don't view it....just drag it into a print queue window and watch it print! |

I can get it to go to the printer but it just prints garbage. I think it is because I have a HP Laser jet and the prn file was originated by a Canon Multipass C530. I thouht about down loading the Canon driver but it is 32 meg. Any other ideas |

Yes I have already tried that. The program says to pick a printer that it has already been printed to (which I dont have) then it gives an error that says "could not send data" |

E-mail it -- as an attachment -- to someone who might have the FAX program/printer to open/print it. If it's a FAX, it's probably in a proprietary FAX code...you need someone using the same program. There aren't many FAX programs around -- two or three maybe -- so you should be able to find out which one created it.
As a last resort, send it to the guy who sent it to you...tell him to send it to you AGAIN in something you can print out, as a file attachment, not a FAX.
Good luck,
John D. |
