    Video card opinions

I just bought this kit and was wondering what you guys could recommend for a decent video card for gaming. BF3, Red Orchestra 2, MW3 in particular.

Buy the ASUS M5A78L-M LX PLUS Thermaltake Barebones Kit at TigerDirect.ca

You need to be a bit careful with what you go for considering your PSU. 450 watt will not run any high end card and even medium tier cards at this point are pushing 350-400watt minimum and that is EXTREMELY taxing your PSU to only have 50-100 watts left for the system. Overclocking is out of the question at that point imo (yes it'll run, but that PSU may die earlier than expected).

I would look for a card with a minimum recommended power supply of 300 or just install a new one and up it... Thermaltake is a good brand but not sure if that's just the case or the PSU.

Frankly I'd just buy these two items (if you have the budget):

Newegg.com - EVGA 01G-P3-1556-KR GeForce GTX 550 Ti (Fermi) FPB 1GB 192-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card
    Newegg.com - CORSAIR Enthusiast Series TX750 V2 750W ATX12V v2.31/ EPS12V v2.92 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC High Performance Power Supply

That's only about $200 more, and $500-600 is reasonable for a solid gaming machine. I had a 750 TX die on me, but I was trying to run an OC'd machine and an OC'd 570GTX with HUGE fans on the case.
    I7 930i on ASUS Sabertooth X58
    6 gigs Kingston Hyper X
    GForce 570GTX on 1000w Coolermaster

WTH are you even posting about? athlonxpguy clearly listed they bought a combo package system that has EIGHT GIGABYTES of RAM in it?

Seriously, can you maybe add some decent input to some more CURRENT threads instead of digging up ones from 3 months ago?
