Most all of us around here build our own, we've been thru all the trials and tribulations. My advice would be to ask around, browse thru older threads, and buy the parts & build it yourself.

You'll always have the fine folks here at TechIMO to help you over the rough spots

Welcome to TechIMO!!

Let us know what you plan to use your computer for. That will make a difference in what type of builder is recommended.

Building your own is also an option - but I realize that not everyone wants to deal with that.

www.ibuypower.com

they are one place that is actually a decent price. They came within $200 bones of a similar computer i built. The rest of the places were way more.

I'd give them a try. Here's they're reseller ratings.

That ought to hold you for a bit, until the game makers up the ante again.

Looks killer.

But, If you're wanting to save a few $s:

-PLEXTOR 40X12X40 CD-RW DRIVE
I'd save $70 and go with a 24x CDRW, not much difference.

-NVIDIA GEFORCE-4 TITANIUM 4600 128MB DDR TV-OUT/DVI-OUT 4X AGP
Don't know much about nvidias, but is the 4600 actually $130 better than the 4200?

I don't think it is. If i were you, I wouldn't get the 4600, i got the 4400 and it's probably about $100 cheaper, and the 4600 isn't all that much better.

But if you have the money, then i'd say go for it.
