Everything is shadowing from and Xbox 360 to a 1920x1080 monitor.

I just received an Xbox to VGA cable for my computer monitor. When I plug the VGA into the monitor, it picks it up but it shadows EVERYTHING. It's quite annoying when trying to play a game. I have shared a link at the bottom so you can see for yourself what is happening.

If you have any idea why this is happening, could you please tell me what is wrong and if you know how to fix it, that would be awesome as well.

Since you just received the item, I would assume it is damaged. Send it back for a replacement.

I'm guessing the monitor doesn't have HDMI? Or is it an older X-box that lacks this? I think the best solution would be HDMI out from the Xbox to HDMI in on the monitor. Since you are downscaling a digital signal (guessing) to the analog VGA there is always the possibility of ghosting. VGA just can't handle the high-res signals that well.

As Tony advised, it is more than likely ghosting from the switch. On that note, I've had nothing but trouble with converters as well, so ideally if there is an hdmi available use that (though I would think you would have gone that route initially if available)
