    Angry Windows 7 Keeps Freezing!!

My Windows 7 Keeps freezing and I am not sure why. It is slow. Sometimes when I log in it just freezes before I can even finish typing in my password. How do I stop it from freezing? This didn't happen on my old computer with Windows 7

Is this a name brand PC? Is it under warranty?

We'll need more information in order to solve the issue. Have you made any changes to the system recently?

Well about HP, there is always a problem with HP laptops that they get heated up and then they start freezing or getting stuck.. i had a friend whose laptop was slow like yours but when plugged in charge, it would run smoothly, i did some defragment and cleaned it up a bit & it started working fine later on.

i would recommend cleaning up a bit with a good antivirus and un-installing some heavy programs if there is any on it & buy a cheap-notebook cooler, usually ten bucks..

    hope this helps.

Well first, we need to know that it's even a laptop. The OP just keeps saying HP and doesn't given any further details.

So is this an HP laptop, desktop all-in-one or what?

When asking for help please provide specific details like model number, specifications (if you can), and exact information explaining what it happening.

Second, just because your "other" Windows 7 computer didn't have problems really doesn't mean much. Windows 7 isn't likely to be the cause here. It sounds like you might have some hardware issues, possibly something related to heat or memory. Its really hard to say with the little information given.

"Sometimes" it freezes before you enter you password. Ok, so what happens on the times it doesn't? Does it run fine? Do you experience any other issues?

edit: You've said you didn't make any changes, but in your other two threads you ask about removing software and speeding the PC up. So I'm confused did you by chance remove any software??
