I need your genius help building a new pc.
It's been awhile since I did my last build (thanks to the people on here!) but I sold my old computer and I'm looking to build one that would allow me to play battlefield 3 to its fullest potential and allow me to record in at least 720p ...if possible I want this to be as cheap as I can get it but still accomplishing my goals.
I would appreciate it for the more experienced/knowledgeable help of you guys! I can put it together, I just don't know my way around the hardware. This is all from scrap! So a complete list of hardware/parts would be awesome!
Thanks for your help in advance.

My first question, when you say enough to run and 'record' BF3, are you talking record locally, or stream via internet. (with a service like twitch.tv or owned.tv)
That will make a difference.
Next question, are you located within the US? (helps us find stores that carry parts we suggest)
And I know you mentioned as cheap as possible, but with that in mind could you give us a round about budget?Q6600@4Ghz | i7 920@4.4Ghz |E6320@3.5Ghz

I'm talking about recording locally, I don't plan on doing live streams.
I do live within the US, Arkansas.
I'm looking to do a build $1000 and under.
Also, I'm running a 42" monitor so keep that in mind in regards to resolution.

Ok great. So your TV is probably running 1080 resolution, so that's good to know.
My suggestions:
CPU: Newegg.com - Intel Core i5-3570K Ivy Bridge 3.4GHz (3.8GHz Turbo) LGA 1155 77W Quad-Core Desktop Processor Intel HD Graphics 4000 BX80637I53570K
$229
Motherboard: Newegg.com - ASRock Z77 Extreme4 LGA 1155 Intel Z77 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard
$115
RAM: Newegg.com - CORSAIR Vengeance 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 2133 Desktop Memory Model CMZ8GX3M2A2133C11R
$59
GPU: Newegg.com - EVGA 02G-P4-2670-KR GeForce GTX 670 2GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card
$399
PSU: Newegg.com - CORSAIR Professional Series HX650 (CP-9020030-NA) 650W ATX12V v2.2 / EPS12V 2.91 SLI Ready 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply
$109 ($89 after MIR)
HDD: Newegg.com - Crucial M4 CT128M4SSD2 2.5" 128GB SATA III MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)
$90 (get this NOW before they are sold out of the sale ends!)
And case is very much a personal preference, but I'm a HUGE fan of Fractal Design cases.
That said, without the case your sitting at $911. And to put it simply, this would be a wicked fast system.Q6600@4Ghz | i7 920@4.4Ghz |E6320@3.5Ghz

Hard drives?
Recording in 1080p takes a huge chunk of space if using fraps , trust me on this.
I usually end up having to record in half height at 1080p to not chew up massive amounts if drive space.i7 940//Corsair H60//EVGA X58 SLI LE//6GB Corsair Vengeance 1600MHz//2x EVGA GTX 560 Ti FPB SLI//NZXT Hale82 850W//CM 690 II Advanced//Win7 64//WD 74GB V-raptor, 750GB Black, 1.5TB Green
