    what is the device configmg

     
    when i bootup win98, i get the error:
    while initializing the device CONFIGMG
    windows protection error, you must restart your computer.
    then it will boot to safe mode ok, but every time i try to boot
    to normal mode i get his same error.
    has anybody heard of what configmg is ???
    ps>>>>device manager says everything is working ok.
    wtf???
    my signature was so lame i deleted it.

    Is there possibly an app called configmgr trying to start?
    Check msconfig and make sure nothing funky is in there.
    Helicopters don't fly; they vibrate so much and make so much noise that the earth rejects them.

    This behavior can occur because Windows Setup flushes the L2 Cache as it initializes the PCI-to-AGP Bridge on a Micro-Star International MSI-5169 motherboard.
    what mobo you have under the hood?
